Default lt1 intake gaskets...which ones to get?

I bought some fel-pro replacement intake gaskets and they just dont match the ports as well as the gaskets I removed.

Its like they were printed off center or something. Part of the gasket protrudes into the intake port.

Im going to take them back.

Does anyone have any recommendations on which ones to get?

Felpro 1284 is the part number I have.

Its off-center slightly.

You will find that misalignment problem sometimes on intake gaskets. You will need to trim the plastic guide pins alittle to get them to line up better. If you use a gasket sealer for install, this will help hold it in place for manifold install.I have gone as far as redrilling new dowel holes in my AFR heads to correct the problem and redrill new dowel holes in the gaskets.

the better aligned gaskets that came off say Fel Pro 95580.

This is their 'lower line' of gaskets.

Im going to take my gaskets back and ask for an exchange.

I've used many Felpro 1284 and GM 777 gaskets and found them all to be off a little in the same direction on stock and aftermarket heads.I think you will find that problem with another set of the same gaskets. I honestly think the gaskets are just not made to exact GM standards on the dowel holes.
