my son's 85 has a water pump issue (i'm thinking). seems like it's severely leaking coolant around the water pump. the water pump is a relatively new (2 year old) ac delco unit, so i'm not sure if the problem is in the pump seal, or the gaskets where it bolts to the block, or ??? my son doesn't really have the tools, the level of expertise, or the time to tackle this job by himself. my hands are somewhat tied, since i'm a 1000 miles away, and can only help by phone. i know of some good folks in the st. pete area, but that's some 40 miles away - somewhat looking for someone closer. so as the title says...
