Woke up this morning and on my way to work I made my normal gas station stop for an energy drink. I stopped and my car wouldn't start. I turn the key and no click, nothing. Sat for about 5 minutes and tried again and fired up. Long story short I wiggled the battery terminal and that works, but it looks like my gas is falling..... very rapidly. A full tank lasts me about a week. My average/ current MPG look fine, but bars keep going away on the gauge so fast. There's no gas leak.
Also I replaced my brake booster a little bit back and the mount that my computer sits on snapped. My computer has just been zip tied down. DOes anyone know where I can find The Replacement bracket?
I have seen the ECM mounts on ebay from time to time.. Don't rule out VATS as being the problem with your no start issue..Unless the battery cable really does turn out to be what was wrong, the VATS would be the first thing I looked at.The gas gauges on C4s are known to be flaky, next time you fill up set your milage in the computer and see what your getting , should be around 16 to 17mpg city 24 to 27 highway on a stock motor..WW
"Vehicle Anti Theft System" Do some searches and reading. If you are going to work on your car you need to buy some kind of manual.
Not just, "some kind of manual", buy the GM manuals for your year vette which by the way you did not post. When you ask for help here, always include the year vette since ALL C4's were not made exactly alike!!!! ..........and no one here is clairvoyant.
