Depends on your motor. The 2 or 1 piece seal is at the rear I don't believe has an impact on your balancer.
Go with a 6.75" smaller external if your motor is externally balanced so you can clear the front cross member. If you are internally balanced, get an internally balanced one.

Aklim: I recommend the "Pro Race" brand, "Pro Stock" series though. Not too expensive but better than Pioneer Balancers that have had delamination issues.
For $10 more you can even buy one with a bolt-in weight (if you're unsure how the RA will balance). (Some light-weight ext-bal RAs can actually use a neutral balancer if the pistons are light enough.)

I remembered wrong. It was the "Pro Sport" model of the "Pro Race" brand. Item 34266 was the item I purchased. (As noted on their webside, ext balancers have a bolt-in weight. Another reason I liked this choice is because it is SFI rated -- which means it should hold up better (even for street driving).
Scat ext balance cranks need a 400 balancer. They don't have a "neutral" nose model (I don't think). I bought a Scat9000. They said it was supposed to be neutral nose. It was not. Read their website if you've got one of those.
Eagle has an ext rear / int front crank -- so it depends on what you bought.
I don't know about Lunati or other brands.
Stock config is ext rear/int front but you could have bought anything.

Sounds like a reasonable assumption...That would mean it should be int/int balance, right?
Just like my application, I couldn't be sure until it went for balancing. Because the Scat9000 series says it has a so-called lighter-[imbalanced] nose, I had trouble anticipating.
It turned out that heavy metal COULD have made mine internal balance on the nose if I wanted to add it.
