I have switched from the 4plus3 to the BW t-56 6 speed. I dont have the speedo hooked up. The ABS says it has no signal. It does its self test at 4mph then works for a bit, then turns on the abs light and doesnt work.
When i hook the speedo up to the t56 an actual 5 mph reads 168 mph. Is there a way to fix this. Do I need it hooked up for my abs to work?
Re: Does my ABS require input from the speedometer? (-=Jeff=-)
Jeff,
I made the trans switch. My main question is:
Is the abs seperate from the speedometer?
I don't need a working speedometer, but I do need a working abs unit. I dont want to spend a lot of money getting the spedo to work only to find out that it still didnt help out my abs.
Re: Does my ABS require input from the speedometer? (-=Jeff=-)
UPDATE: Based off wiring diagrams and other information we have figured out the the ABS system on the 86 does NOT reference the speedometer. So now I get to figure out what wrong with the ABS.
