This past weekend the SES light came on. It went away after a minute or two. It did this three times in about the last 3-4days. At all times going back off after just a couple minutes. The car is still driving around fine. I haven't noticed anything not as it should be. On the '94's, is there any easy way to pull the codes? I know on the older GM cars you can just use a paper clip on the ALDL connector to "flash" the codes.
Paperclip did not work. Dunno what may have been different about your '94 but it didn't work on mine. My car has the large OBD I connecter,...it's a little larger than the regular ALDL connector. No combination of terminals would show the codes.
Will the local parts store have one of those little cheap scanners that will work on the 94's or will I need to locate a Snap-on scanner? Also,....RamChargers, formerlly Modern MuscleCar, makes a scan tool for the LT-1 cars called a Scanmaster. I've used the Buick version for years in both my TTA and Turbo Buick. Does anyone know if it works with a OBD I '94 Car?
