injectors??????
i have a 91 L98 with a few symtoms that i think are related. this has been going on for about a week. when the car is first started in the morning it ticks for about three minutes and runs unusual untill the tick goes away. it also reaches operating tempature a lot quicker lately ( its been cold out side this week too). it reaches operating temp in about the three to four minute range. when its hot outside or when the engine is hot it turns over for about 4 seconds before it hits and starts, when it does start is lets out a small amount of smoke a heavy fuel oder . i have only had the car for three months and when i got it i did plugs, wires, cap & rotar, msd 6a, air filter, and fuel filter. as well as a seafom treatment (crankcase, fuel tank, and vacume line). i used royal purple 5w-30 on the oil change.

It could be an injector. Sounds like you may have a noisy lifter causing the tick but that is a guess.
