Can't seem to get the tunerpro software to detect the apu1 in datalogging mode. In tunerpro preferences it won't let me change the port number. I believe my usb is com3 but tunerpro is greyed out on com2 after I select autoprom interface device! Do you have to be plugged into the aldl socket in the car for tunerpro to detect the hardware?
What switch position on the apu1 is required for the aldl cable. 10K ohm or open?
Mark from Tunerpro advised that a way round this is to select autoprom mode on the apu1 (outer switch selected inwards). The apu1 then automatically detects the com port and hence the hardware. The inner switch needed to be selected to 10K mode (inner switch selected inwards)
When I did this and had the aldl cable plugged into the aldl socket under the dash the tunerpro software finally detected it.
Managed to do my first datalogging today. I managed to see all the engine parameters in real time but I did have one problem.
When I clicked on the record button I kept getting a message "Error creating log file". So the only way I could capture the data was to take screen copies of my computer screen. Anyone had this issue before?

This is the reply I got from Mark Mansur from Tunerpro and it worked:

In the same window that you select the ALDL definition file, there's an option to browse for the log file. Browse to the directory to which you wish to save the file, then type in a filename (like "firsttry").
