If it won't come back down to a normal idle, you probably have an intake gasket leak. It's not unusualy for the CFI intake to leak between the top plate and the base/plenum. FelPro offers a complete intake gasket set for under $30 via normal auto parts places. Take a few pictures of all the hoses and stuff before you pull it apart so you have an easy reference when you put it back together.
I just swapped out my injectors this evening with a pair from an 89 1/2 ton 350 tbi pickup. It runs WAY better, but only because my stock injectors were nasty filthy. I'm sending them off to http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/shop/ to get serviced. The truck injectors are only in there so I can drive the car in the mean time.
Good luck and feel free to PM me if you have more questions.
i was double checking my timing this morning and used a brass wire brush to clean the timing tab and i noticed that when i was scraping across the tab and when the brush hit the tab and the balancer at the the same time it was sparking like i was grounding something out
