160 thermostat
Anyone have the part number for one. The dealer said I need part number or to know what vehicle uses that thermostat. They only have. 180 when they search 92 corvette

unless there is a problem you should not need a 160 them.if there is a problem then it should be repaired. a therm is simply covering the symptoms.
then again if you just like to tinker with things go for it.

Its more to those that freak out at the designed spec of running at higher temps than most cars we have learned on over the years.
It seems folks are looking to spend the extra dime to get a therm instead of pulling the rad and cleaning it out.
just my 2 cents. if it aint broke, dont fix it.

When I did mine I just went to Autozone and asked for a 160 SBC thermostat. I believe all small block use the same t-stat.

I know it gets so old to read the same thread over and over. I am not trying to say that the OP thread is old but why can't you just answer his question. If you do no know where to get it don't respond.

OK I thought about it.......I guess you will have to explain the HUGE BENEFIT. BTW the heat index here right now is 112* with air temp at 103*, and I have been running with a 195* stat just fine.
