Default How do I adjust my hood???

My hood isnt properly aligned on the passenger side when you look at the car from the rear angle to the front. And its off on the front driver side. How do i adjust it? its driving me crazy seeing it.

drivers side is perfect..

passenger side not so much..(if i get into more of an angle its alot worse.the door and hood dont line up right above the gills

and here you can see the driver side edge of the hood where it meets the front bumper is off as well...

I will be following this one with interest as mine is really bad on the drivers side hood and front bumper. Much worse than yours.

Loosen the panel adjacent to the battery tray. 2X10mm hidden bolts between the panel and the rocker and one on top, along with a couple on the inner fender. The bottom of the panel can be brought in or out to match the door contour. The upper part of the panel can be shimmed to raise or lower it (along with the lower bolts) and the panel can be brought in or out to match the hood. If you look at it, it'll make sense.

That would let you move the front of the hood.

I agree that it looks more like the driver's side panel if off a little than the hood.

Its not the panel. The panel is flush where it is. Heres another pic of the passenger side.

This thread has more detailed information and may help.

I know that one of the conditions I added when I bought mine was that the hood be re-aligned before I'd take it. The small lot where I bought it said they would not touch it and sent it to a local Corvette shop to have it done.

Yes that's how I adjusted mine, it was somewhat off. Just be very careful , it takes time and patience and many attemps to get it correct. Be very very careful when gently dropping the hood, if the front is too far down you can break off the front lower corners on the hood.
