Ok I just raced a honda civic turbo charged running 8 PSI of boost. I pulled like only 1/4 car length on him. I still need gears, and a chip. But will that really give me enough to beat them by more? I should be putting out 350-380RWHP. with my combo after all said and done. These turbo hondas put out about 250-300RWHP. Does the wieght really play that much of a roll in this?

 

Was it blue and his plate says boostfed? If so he is making 360 at the front tires and runs mid 11's at Dinwiddie. His car weighs 1000lbs less than yours does and its pretty nasty unfortunately. He is a pretty nice guy though.

Its a terror from the roll, you could get him off the line pretty good though. Don't let it get to ya Bryan.....You were still in a vette and he was in a civic.

Lee, NO!! this was not the guy in the blue one. These guys told me about him though. WOW!!. this was a Red civic on my side of the water. THey just got the turbo on two weeks ago. That's what they said. What really got me was they pulled up beside me and said hey your car is really fast. :lol: I am just not taking a honda civic telling me my car is fast because I just beat him by a fender to well. :confused:

I still have the TPI setup. AS&M runners, but I'm looking hard for a Superram now Damn it. I know that will add a good amount of power. Plus I need a chip, and the 2.59 rear gears have to go ASAP. I also had my power effects closed off if that helps. I'm reaching here.

It was from a roll. I was in 3rd("D" it's an auto damn it) gear, and I heard there engine rev up, and I dropped it in 2nd. I pulled out at 5000rpm in 2nd. Scared the heck out of me. I"ve never taken my car that hi in the RPM range. I've only ever gone to 4000RPM. The guys were really nice. We talked for like 30 min after. I asked them if they were heading my way and they said no. They were out looking for a race. One of the guys has a s2000 yellow.


So, I guess a 100HP less, and a 1000LBS less make it about equal to my car? Which would A: explain wh I did not better than I did, and also tell me my car is not doing to bad given it's history.

I feel super charger coming though.

you REALLY need a chip to get optimum results out of that, and you REALLY need the SR or MR. Both will work for you.

and yeah, you need some 3.54s after that

 

Man I guess I best get to work. The chip I plan to do, and the SR not sure about. I may go MR. Still thinking about that. I really like the MR's clean look and ease of install. The gears. I have a possible hook up those. I guess I"ll be checking into that.

Hey Lee if I get that Dana 44 I told you about want to trade with Jenns? I know she has a 3.45 which is what I want, and I know she will want 3.73 or better which is what this rear end has.

 

Thats a thought, I will let you know. Yeah watch out for the blue one. He is fast as $h1t. Don't play from a roll with him, only from a light or something.

Get the super ram, your car and cam are already designed for it. Not to mention the auto will love the extra torq. Quit trying to change your plans :D

 

You're right Lee. I'll just stick with what I have planned, and ride with that. SR it is. I'm going to talk to that guy about those gears/rear end this week I hope. I really would like more time off, but that another topic in itself....

Yep saturday it is...I think we will be in the Yukon. The ZR1 is in the body shop. If its really nice I may take the boat though. Not sure yet.
