Took off the Delco/Bilsteins with the idea of having them rebuilt/revalved. Like the KYBs so much I haven't had the Bilsteins done yet. Maybe eventually tho.
Got 'em and like 'em. Talked with the guys at Vette Brakes & Products when I bought them though - they advised the KYBs are valved real stiff. They are probably right, but I have no complaints about these shocks on the autocross course.
my gas-ajusts weren't adjustable. The KYX or whatever they are called are. MHO, z51 bilsteins are stiffer, i think KYB is between Z51 and Base for stiffness

Re: KYB shocks, anyone?
Standard KYBs are not adjustable. I tried them on the rear after I took off my FX3s and was fairly impressed with them. If I were going to use it only as a street car I probably would have kept them. Since I'm going more for track use, I switched them out for Bilstein Z51s (which are definitely stiffer).
That's fair. I had a '93 LX Coupe 5.0 for some time. Had Koni red's on the rear of that car and loved them. Just trying to save some bucks this go-around.
I put them on my 88 about 3 months ago. When I bought the car, it had 130k on the original bilsteins so I looked for a replacement and decided on the KYBs. For the price they were the best option out there. The ride is much smoother now, but I can see how they would not be the first choice for someone spending more time on the track than the freeway. Good Luck
I have them. they're not that great for STUCK LIKE handling. Once the rest of the tomfoolery is fixed on this car, I am going with either Koni Red's or Yellows so it'll handle like a slot car.
If a smooth ride with so-so handling is what you're after..KYB's are for you.
