Has anyone ever upgraded a C4 Bose system to a System out of a C5 or C6?
I have a 1990 and was considering putting in a system out of a 2005 with Navigation.
It looks like it may fit in the space available in the dash facial with minimal modifications.
I think that I will need to replace the transmitter, and know that I will need to add the XM and Navigation antennas.
What I do not know is if the speakers will work.
I also have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe with the navigation system and that looks like it may also work.
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
I installed a Kenwood DNX6140 and am very Happy with it. Ditch that Blose. I would not recommend the HD radio attachment, because your power antenna will always go up when the radio is on verses being down when any other source is selected. Fit right in nicely with our double DIN opening. Put in new Infinity Speakers with new wire. Not too hard, a nice weekend project when it is cool out.

That looks nice. I just installed the Kenwood DPX503 in my `90, & it looks great. I also installed a Metra harness ($50) that lets me use the Bose amps/speakers with the Kenwood -plug & play-
