Default Low Idling...

It started today. My car idles at 700-800 rpm than drops to 400-500 and after a second goes back up. Sometimes when I go to take off its doing the drop and my car wants to shut off. Any Suggestions on what is the culprit.

Check the fuel pressure, it may be a clogged fuel filter/pump. I don't know exactly what it's supposed to be on LT1 engines, put I'm sure it should be above 40 psi.

Sounds like you have an IAC problem.

I would guess either a IAC problem or you have a vacuum leak, maybe one of the plastic vacuum lines broke, this happens when they get old..WW

It screws into the throttle body on the pass side. Mine has a big squarish connector.

41-47 psi per GM 96 Vette FSM.
