Man it takes a long time to edit this stuff. Here is the first of 5 runs I got in car...unfortunately the first one I did was the one I shut it down early as I could not even see my opponent. Ends up he had a brain fart and thought we were racing 1/8 mile even though he dialed in a 12.80.
Anyway...it is 2.85mb so beware for anyone with a slow connection.
I had to bypass the little tach and use the feed for the shift light. Figured it would help with consistency. Now I need to try them both again and see if I can get them working off the same feed.
JD,
In that run, I had the shift light set at 6300. I had it set to 6500 earlier in the day, but power kinda falls off right after 6300 so I dropped it down some. I think my heads are really restricting my power above 6300 rpm. One of these days I will go with a much bigger set of heads and sell these back to someone with a heads and cam car. They would work great for that. With the cam I am running I should be able to make power to 7400 with a real good set of heads. That is probably my next big mod. :jester
Something like a track 1 or 18 deg head? 18 deg heads mean business! A friend has some on His LPE/IROC 434. It rips the tires off the rims in pretty much every gear! :D Pulls like a motorcycle to 7000 also. Killer street car.
Where are the rest of your vids? I'd love to see a full run. That run you posted was a nice TEASE :).
I am probably looking at an AFR 210 or a LT4 head setup. Something flowing around 300 intake at .600. May even constitute a cam change if I do it. Gives me something to think about. It will be my next winter's project most likely. Since the car has been down from June to December, I am still enjoying just driving the car. I have still not touched the Nitrous yet. I will probably do that this weekend on the Dyno. Right now it is only making about 415 rear wheel I think, where I was looking for more like 440-450.
I will be doing the rest of the videos tonight. I was working with a file that contained all of my video from yesterday, but it ws just too large to get anything done as it was terribly slow. The file was 6.5 GB and just brought my computer to it's knees. I will transfer them from the video camera one at a time tonight. Probably wait to upload them to the internet till I am back on my office's network connection. Dial up at home stinks. I got WAY too used to ATT@home before we moved.
Thanks for all the nice comments. Trust me, the other ones are better...or at least I go the full quarter. ;)
