Flywheel.... now what...
any other sources?
Also, I had a rather long conversation with a machinist there... he says they took .060 off! They started with blanks, got them in bulk... and were able to cut them down. The aluminum ones are $390.00.
We discussed the merits of the balancing, also... apparently, they need to be zero balanced... I am still getting info...
When I took my Camaro flywheel in I asked them to make a measurement (I don't have the tools) from the crank mounting flange to the friction disk surface and told them it should be close to .090. They said it was .100...which one could chock up to warpage of the original dual mass-mine definitely had different wear patterns on the face, but no jerking upon clutch engagement. I have never heard of .060, but I have heard .120 thrown around...
I think MTI offers a kit for the conversion as well.
Hope that helps.
