Did that yesterday. What should I be expecting anyways... extra 2~3 mpg or maybe a little smoother running engine?

Was your old O2 sensor shot ? If so, then you should pick up some performance. Otherwise, it is just a maintenance item.

When I changed mine, the mileage went up by about 4-5 mpg for 1 tank. After a couple of tanks of gas, no difference.

It depends if your old one was defective. I have made it a point to include changing it after a specific amount of miles. Just like your sparkplugs, the sensor needs to be functioning properly to receive maximum performance.

Did you notice any smoothness to the engine performance after the change? :seeya

Hey, it is running a lot smoother. It also does seem like I'm getting more mileage, from what the trip computer says anyways.

Like the others have said, if your old ones had a lot of miles on them it certainly won't hurt. At least we've got the cheap $20 ones :) Most of my friends have the $50 4 wire ones.
