you are right josh that is why it cycles so much. But infact it take a few min to heat it back up. it is like putting cooled water on anything hot. it takes a few min to heat it back up. Here is something you could try Josh and not trying to be a smart ***. Jumper your fans to run all the time take a good inferred temp sensor aim it at the thermostat housing and as the car heats up you can watch the stat open then you can watch it cycle as needed. The key is the fans have to be running to take them out of the equation. If your hands could take it you could just hold on to the lower rad hose and feel it cycle also.
