Default Shock treatment

OK, I've looked in the archives for information on shocks, and discovered (surprise!) that opinions are all over the place. But in part this may be due to the fact that different owners have different performance tastes as well as budgets.

But what I'm looking for to install on my '94 vert is something pretty soft and compliant, since I do not do too much aggressive stuff but DO drive on fairly poor streets and back roads, and the poor 'ol green girl is taking some pretty nasty jolts.

So I'd value your informed opinions on a good choice. Yes, I know that adjustables may be one way to go -- I had Rancho adjustables on my pickup -- but I would not need the stiffer settings often enough to justify the extra cost. And cost IS also a consideration.

If they raised the car a little that would be nice, too. Not much superslabbing done up here in the Sierra.

Thanks in advance.

I like my KYB's, they are reasonably priced.
