Default Steering column fixed! ...now it won't crank...

Like the title says, I dug into my steering column last night and tightened the tilt mechanism bolts that tend to get loose. Before putting the steering wheel/telescoping lever back on I decided to make sure the car cranked. So I reconnected all of the wiring under the dash and the battery. It turns on, but no crank...nothing. Does this sound like a VATS problem?

Theoretically, if I really screwed it up, what does everybody think about the VATS simulator by redrose? http://www.vatssucks.com/

Is the rod to the ignition switch moving the switch to the start position when you turn the key?

Now that I think of it I can't remember. I want to say yes though. I'm at work now and can check later. What could that mean?

Paul is probly right here. Adjusting the switch so the rod pushes the switch all the way to the start position will probly fix it. If you took anything off of this portion, switch, rod etc would necessitate an adjustment.

Good luck!

Thanks for the input guys! I went back and tried it again when I got home and it cranked right up... No clue what happened. Maybe the wiggling the ignition the night before adjusted the rod into the correct position?
