Default Headlight questions

I got some blue headlight bulbs but on the back of the bulb the prongs are protected by a round peice sticking out. I cant fit it in the hole where the wire is to plug into. I am planning on taking that plate that moves for adjustments off to cut the hole open bigger. My questions are is it how do I get it off and how to I re-aim them when they are back on?

Ummmmmm....... you can't replace "just a bulb" in an '89. You have to replace the whole housing, or get a new housing that DOES allow you to replace the bulb. C4's came stock with a sealed beam headlight system.

I got the new housing and the new bulb. The housing has a circular peice on thae back around the prongs. I have to take off the adjusting plate to cut it open bigger. What is the correct watage?

Sounds like you've got the wrong housing or the wrong bulb. There should be no "trimming" involved. I don't know if this will help, but here is the install for the light set Jon pointed out.
