Default Water in cabin

I hardly ever drive my 91 in the rain but got caught out in it last weekend. Water dripping on my left foot while driving any ideas. I have had the car a couple of years. It has a new windshield about a year ago, took a stone in the center of it from a truck on the interstate. It had a bunch of them(leaks) when I got it with bad seals on windows etc. and all of that taken care of to the point of maybe a drop or two on a seat if I get stuck in a rainstorm but this is much bigger leak. It seems like there is only 2 places to leak but open for ideas. It seems like either the windshield or heater box. The heater box seems more likely with the big openings at the base of the windshield. Ideas or ways to check it?

Check your floor pans for large holes. I've seen so many C4's that I can put my entire hand through the floor pan and touch the carpet.

"Might as well check your drain tubes in the cowl. I think there are 3 of them"

Where are they located? Water is coming from top down not from the bottom, it is dripping from the left front corner of the carpeted panel. I hardly ever drove the car in the rain before the windshield change and they did install new Gm weatherstrip. Before they changed it I told them I wanted to see both the windshield and weatherstrip a 'it's my car and money' sort of approach.

I know of 2 in my 93, both are on the far corners of the drain on the firewall. Passenger side one is easy to see, should be to the right of the door hinges. Drivers side was behind the back left side of the battery box. Should see it between the battery and fusible links.

I know some people hate Haynes, but it shows pictures of where they are located.

Here is my plan I am going to pour some water into each corner and wait to see if it drips then try the other side and the middle, it is not like the floor has not gotten wet before. If it passes this then to the glass shop and start asking a lot of pointed questions. Sound reasonable?

OK time to talk to the windshield folks.. Ran a few gallonns of water through the cowl not one drip and water pouring out of it very freely.. sigh.. I hate it when you try to make something better to only go two steps backwards.. Dave

Default rain water in cabin

I have a 1996 vett which has developed a leak. I checked the drain tube on the passenger side, which is where its coming in, but it was fine. Has anyone else experianced any similar problems?
