Goodyear 315/45/17
This weekend at Carlisle I saw 315/45/17's on Mongooses GS and would like to get them for mine. Anyone know if anyone still makes them?

You sure they weren't 315/35R17's? If so, goodyear still makes a GS-D3 as far as I know.

Are you really sure of the "45" part of that size?
Goodyear makes a 315/35-17, but I don't see a 315/45-17
That 45 series tire would be over 2 inches taller than any factory size tire that came with the C4.

So you're WANTING a tire that is 2.5" taller than the correct size? Correct? That's a 10% change in the rear gear ratio. I gotta ask why?
To answer the orignal post: No one currently offers a tire in a 315/45 /17. Many options in the 315/35 /17, including the goodyear. Not a single tire company list that size from what I can find.

I'd figure for drag racing as the extra height would help with footprint.
M&H makes a 325/45R17 in a drag radial, but that's the closest I've seen.

Answering the question is all I ask but here is why the question: I want to replace the 315/35/17 that are currently on my 64 GSR that has 96 suspension on it and wanted a tire that filled the wheel well better but still had better performance than a 15.

^ no need to be a dick about it. Everyone was curious, considering that we're on a C4 forum. AS far as I can find, I can't find anyone making a 315/45/17 anywhere.
