Default Silly question....

but HOW do you lower a C4? I know that there are lowering springs available. Is that the only way? I mean, they're a leaf front and rear, wouldn't some different brackets work?

Just curious...still learning.

The Corvette catalogs sell lowering kits. You can lower the rear with longer bolts.

!! Caution!!! Lots of people do it for street looks and lowering the rear is simple.

Lowering the front is made to sound easy. It is not, and you run the risk of ruining your spring.

The "Kits" sold are short on information instruction and if you screw up, resulting in your spring meeting the metal of the front suspension support... well .... " DAMAGE MAY RESULT" .

I know there are kits, I was more wondering HOW they worked.

There are no " spring hangers" as with regular leaf springs
Changing the length of the bolt that connects spring to susp at rear changes the ride height.
Changing the mounting height of the spring at front does same

That composite leaf spring is not happy when it hits steel.
