Just a quick question. I was looking at my headlight motors over the weekend and want to ask what the "****" on top of the motor is for. It turns counter clockwise and clockwise. What does turning the **** do? Thanks
Thats the manual control to raise and lower the headlight if the motor fails.
Unplug the Motor at the connector !! Then turn the **** ( I forget which direction) and the headlight will rotate and raise.
You will also have a wire bail along side the ****. Once the headlight is up, snap the bail over the **** to lock it in place. To lower, remove the bail and run the **** the other direction.
