Default door ajar light

over the weekend the "door ajar" light came on and won't go off even though the doors are not "ajar" and the interior lights stay on. Anyone else had a problem like this? If so what's the corrective action? It's a 95 coupe. Thanks in advance for any help!!!!

It's almost certain that one of the switches on the doors has gone south for the duration. Examine them, and you'll likely find your problem. They're a poor design, and prone to failure.

Yup. The Factory Service Manual (FSM) walks you right through it.

Check online or call your local Chevy dealer. Do you have area Corvette clubs? Some dealers discount if you're a member (or even if you TELL them you're a member of a particular local club.

Locally, they cost about $20. At least they did a few years ago when I purchased mine from Bachman Chevrolet in Louisville. They discount for Falls City Corvette Club members.
