Must I remove the Trans ?
I think the solenoid that locks up the converter is bad in my 96 C4 & might have to be replaced.
Does anyone know if the tranny has to be removed to replace this solenoid, or can it be done with the trans in the car ?

You can do that with the trans in the car.
