Default Valve cover leak

I have a stock LT1 with 60k miles on it. While cleaning the engine I noticed that the passenger valve cover is leaking at the front passenger side. I know that it is not from where the oil cap is or that it is leaking. My question is, does the factory use a gasket and if so what kind, and anyone make a nice chrome valve cover that I can replace it with?

I used the FelPro Permaseal gaskets on my L98 and they worked just fine. Not a hint of a leak.

The FelPro gaskets all the way! Make sure they are the rubber type ones, and not cork. I think they are called Permaseal. They work great!

Make sure that the breather tube that runs from the passenger side valve cover up to the throttle body is pushed in tight, mine was loose and leaked a little there. I put in the GM ones from Jeff Kopp a nice flexible silicone rubber, no leaks.
