There is a lot of interesting info packed into those articles. Especially for those who may never have contemplated the effects of atmospheric conditions on the performance of their vehicle. Tuning an EFI car for altitude, is a moot point; however, Because the MAT or MAF (depending on the system) compensates for air density. It doesn't/can't negate the effects, but it tunes, adjusts the A/F ratio to the conditions. Thinner air has less oxygen per cubic foot. I use a "weather station" at the track to keep me up on changing atmospheric conditions. The most telling reading is "density altitude". A couple of hundred feet in density altitude can affect your ET. It's good to be aware of changes when it's time to put a dial on your window. For those non-believers, the last time I raced at sea level, I ran a full second faster than at my home track.
