Default adjustable fan kit INFO needed

Has anyone used this kit for there LT1?
I want the adjustable fan because other kits only have a 200 switch,I want to turn them on at 205-210 deg.
I was gona drill and tap the housing next to the bleeder bolt for the thread in unit.they make a probe type but I don't like the way they work.

I have not used the adjustable model, but have used the low temp switch. There is a plug in the left cylinder head between cylinders 1 and 3, remove that plug and install the sensor there.

In one head you have the temp gauge sensor;
Blank plug should be in same place on opposite head
So either between #6 and 8 or #1 and 3 spark plugs

Ok I found the plug.I was always looking between the back two plugs on the drivers side because the factory one is between the back two..It's between the front two plugs.
What is the thread on that plug? Is it a 3/8 NPT?

Thanks
I still want to know if anyone has used this adjustanle switch

Think about it
It's in drilled in the same position on each head; just that the position changes when heads are swapped to other side
GM only made one LT1 head; they didn't make a LH one and a RH one

Correct

Most use a fixed temp switch that turns on/ off at a set temp but I don't see a adjustable one being any different if installed and wired correctly

Good luck getting that plug out with the head on the engine.

Why not just reprogram your fan settings?

The one in my 93 came out fairly easy, but you may need to make your own tool. I think I ground down an old 3/8" extension to fit the square head plug if I remember correctly, but agree that reprogramming is a better way to go. A good tuner will also be able to firm up the shifts on an automatic and you may even pick up a few horsepower.

I was thinking about buying everything to do my own tune, but if there is a glitch than everything would be messed up.
A local tuner will do it for 70 bucks, but then if I don't like the temp i gotta go back,if I do it this way I just make an adjustment as needed.
I didn't want a fixed switch because I don't want the fan running all the time,my car currently runs 204 deg when driving so the 200 switch would be no good for me.
