Multiple Service Engine Soon codes?
No SES light for a couple weeks since I found a vacuum leak to the EGR. Driving in to work today - in the rain - just cruising a nice 55 mph... All of a sudden I feel a power loss, then normal, and repeat a couple more times, and there's the SES light.
I get to an intersection and the idle is OK, then it drops to '4' on the digi-dash rpm indicator for just a quick second. Then the idle is a little erratic, and then back to normal.
I pull into work's parking lot and pull off my ALDL cover (yes, I've got one) and plug in my paper clip: 33 (MAF - Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit), 42 (EST - Electronic Spark Timing Circuit), 43 (Knock Sensor).
Is there a single event that would cause all 3 of these things to go wacky at the same time? Or does the MAF affect the EST, which hit the Knock Sensor?
It's a good thing the wife wasn't driving it - She's wanted to sell it because she wants a car to run perfect all the time. I've told her that I've cleared up all of the codes and now this happens! :boxing
TIA
Good Luck:)
I guess the rain might have had something to do with it - but all 3 items at once? That's why I thought they might be 'connected' in some way...
THe wife says it's good thing she wasn't driving it at the time - it would be at the bottom of Lake Michigan! :smash:
