I have a 1989 corvette 6 speed. Anybody know exactly where to find the neutral start switch? I know its supposed to be on top of the clutch pedal, how much of the dash supposed to be removed to get to it? Ive removed the bottom parts of the dash under the gauge cluster/steering column but still cant seem to see the switch anywhere. How hard is it to reach it? Thanks any help appreciated!
You are looking for the clutch start switch, there is no neutral switch on manual xmsn cars. The switch is located at the top of the clutch pedal bracket. You may have to remove the kick panel above the drivers feet for better access.
neutral start switch/clutch switch same thing basically. I have removed all the panels below the column would i need to take out the side panel of the dash to, which would mean i would have to take out the panel over the gauge cluster to get it off to.
Don't remember. But when you look up there you will see the switch. I believe I just cut the wires and spliced them. Was very simple. Took longer to get the hush panel off. Now I don't have to crawl in the car to start it.

That'll be great...until one day you leave it in gear...
