air density and boost
I've been searching for the boost lose with increased elevation and have found what I needed in a aircraft powerplant book......this is all based on the same temperature air, the air density increases with lower temps. At 10,000 feet your going to lose 25 percent of the air density.......10 lb boost will be 7.5 lb......at 5000 ft. your going to lose about 1.25 lb of boost over sea level......these charts are based on 59 degrees, so on a hot summer day, at high altitude your going to lose more, hope this helps ...loving this section and the wealth of information you forum member have.....leadfoot :cool:
