With my stock 95 LT1, except for magnaflow mufflers, I plan on changing out the rockers (1.6 narrow), springs (beehive), locks, retainers, and While I'm in there I'll replace the valve seals. I'm going to go with all COMP CAM parts. My plan is to set myself up for a cam change. After calling Comp Cam they recommended the cam below (258HR-12), because I'm not a cam expert, I need to ask the members here if you have ever purchased this cam and isn't it pretty close to stock. I'm not looking for a very rough idle, because its still my night and weekend car, but I"m also not that old that I can still enjoy a good sounding car. No other mods are planned. Thanks

I dont know what the stock specs are for your year, but I suspect they are similar to the cam comp recommends. I would add just a touch more intake duration at .050. Something like 212, and jack the exhaust up to 216. Lift looks decent, as does the lobe separation.
Seems mighty mild for the money and effort involved especially if it is a 6 speed. A tuned port like more cam than that and you have a short runner manifold that wants to rev. Your call in the end but it is less than a ZZ4 cam and that is mild as well. I would think something closer to a 215 or 220 at 0.050 would make more sense if you want a little rump rump and more top end power.
2-teens suggested as above @.050 will help on torque and still idle smooth
auto or stick makes a diff too. You can get away with a little more with a stick, doesnt sound like you want to get into changing converters/gears anyway.

I would take the advise of everybody above, The cam you are thinking about isn't much more than the stock cam. I would bump it up a little. I think anywhere in the teens would work well. The hotcam is a proven set up. But there are also more modern grinds out there. I would shoot for 214-219 intake duration and the 112 lobe sep works well for what you are doing. Cams in this range are very mild.
I wouldn't go through the hassle of install for the cam listed in the OP. I think you're going to get through the process and be dissapointed with the end result.
I too agree with the previous posters. The LT4 hotcam seems to be the most reasonable approach to a good (all around) cam.
I would suggest the following...
218-224 range for the intake
220-228 range on the exhaust end
The custom grind cam Pete K put in my motor is a 218/226-112 LSA Erson cam. This cam works great on the street, is still mild, and you can just start to hear it has a little lope to it. ..WW
