Speedometer issue through ignition? Help!
Ok, another of my strange electrical issues.
Most of the time when I start and drive my '90 ZR-1 the speedometer will not work at all. Every other turn of the ignition key it will operate normally. What I mean to say is if I turn the ignition on-off-on and then start the engine everything is fine. If I do not turn it on twice the speedo stays at 0. When I drive to the store it will not work, but on the return trip it will.
The other half of this is the engine will idle high (just over 1k) whenever the speedo is not operating. I just hate it to no end but have no idea what could cause this issue and be so consistent.
If anyone has experienced something like this, please let me know how you fixed it (if at all).
