spring question
The shop is just finishing installing my new transmission ( 1990 coupe ) and they told me I have a couple cracks in my rear leaf spring. Is this common problem, should I be freaked out and stop driving the car?

That depends on the level of cracking. If it's slight you may have some time.
That depends on what you want/need. With a little effort you should be able to do alright with salvage or a racer take-off. Or it's as easy as a supporting vendor phone call.
Assuming basic garage experience and tools it's pretty straightforward. Searching here should get you the step-by-step.
