pulling L98 water pump
looks like the OP has an 86 - i'm not sure what years they used the "frisbee" on the L98's. i know, 85 no, 90 yes.
as for tools, make sure you use a flare-nut wrench on the fuel lines, mark and label all hardware - you have to do a lot of "wrenchin'" to get the waterpump off. there are a lot of different size and lengths of bolts, and nuts. be neat and ORGANIZED, and take your time!!! just for the hell of it, get in there and take several pictures of the configuration of everything, including any miscellaneous brackets that support the alternator, AIR pump, AC compressor, etc. i doesn't hurt to snap a couple pics at various stages of the tear-down too. finally, use a torque wrench on re-assembly. do it right the first time - you don't want to go through this a second time...
finally, good luck, and as you're doing this, keep telling yourself, "i love my corvette, i love my corvette, i love my corvette..."

He might as well learn, now, to include the year info in his initial post. Then I'll tell him about the hidden torx head bolt.
