I dare any of you guys that are Super He Men to grab onto one of my Blueprinted and Very Hot OAC internal coil Vertex Magnetos while I spin the bronze drive gear by hand.

Spin it maybe 50 RPM's only.

You will likely pee your pants.
Your arm and neck will start convulsing without any self control.

The filthiest words and phrases imaginable will come from your mouth for the next half hour.

When I put that same Vertex magneto into my modified SUN Distributor Machine and spin it up to 9,000RPM's + with the spark gap rack set to 2" inches air gap.........

I will pay you $500.00 cash to stick your hand in there.

A really hot modified OAX external coil Vertex Mag will fire cleanly with a 4 inch air gap across all 8 spark plugs while spinning at 9K+.

Right around 80K - 100K thousand volts @ 200MA current.

Hot Brilliant Blue Sparks.

I have been hit- secondary High KV shocked with MSD6 & MSD7 ignitions while spin testing them at high RPMs.

MSD's feel like a Bee Sting to me compared to any HOT Firing Vertex Magneto.

I was taught by late friend also to repair magnetos.
He showed me all of his own tricks and 50 + years of experience repairing them.

He was one of 2 AFA Licensed Aviation Magneto Repair Service people in the USA.
Right in my home area.

He only taught me, no one else.

I will shock myself 1st with my hottest running Vertex Magneto....

I will grab the Vertex magneto cap with my left hand and spin the bronze gear as fast as I can.

Show You I can take the extreme electrical High KV shock Pain.

Then I will hand the magneto to you and let you shock me..........

With my left hand I will grab the magneto cap.
Spin as fast as you can.

I can take it.

Then I will pull a $100 bill out of my pocket and set it on the table.

To earn it 1st, You have to grab the magneto cap with your left of right hand and let me spin it.

I will turn it maybe 1/2 RPM's what You did to me.

I will give you the $100 Bill then to keep.
You earned my respect.

You will earn mine too.

My late buddie and me would take turns shocking each other with those Hot Vertex mags spinning by hand to see he could take it longer.

About a Tie.
About 30 seconds each.

Neither of us Peed our pants.
Sure was fun though seeing who was tougher and crazier.

I sent out the picture of that Polished-spun Vertex OAC Magneto EMI/RFI magneto cap shield or cover this evening Ed to your email address.

Its a PDF file.
Use the latest version of Adobe reader to open it and view.

Let me know when want me to Service or Hop up a Vertex Mag of yours for street or racing use.

Still an Awesome Ignition System to use as You already know and have found out for yourself.

Vertex mags setup right come alive at 2,000RPM's and don't lay down till at least 10k RPM's.
At least the Mags I blueprint to my specs don't.
