EGR system guidance needed - LT1
Little back story - had my '92 for about three months. Got code 32 ~1000-1200 miles ago, swapped EGR valve as the existing one was completely rotted out. Also tested solenoid at that time, and it was good.
Got the code again this weekend. EGR valve is good. EGR solenoid is good, at least cold.
When I say EGR solenoid is good, I mean it vents the EGR line to atmosphere when unpowered, and connects it to the engine vac lines when powered on.
Was NOT able to find any leaks by blowing into/sucking on hoses (sexy, I know). Vacuum lines all appear perfect, except that the 90 deg fittings on the line from the solenoid to the valve will pull off of the hose. They do appear to seal up well when installed, though.
All I can think of is a possible vac leak on the ASR? That would keep the EGR valve from opening. Slow leak on vacuum lines? As I said before, I went over a thousand miles without getting the code.
