Don't worry about it, I think it's just a disclaimer in case something happens.
We(the E-Town boys) all have ABS and the Hurst Line Loc(well most of us anyway).
It comes down to this. When the Line Loc is engaged, your foot is off the brake pedal.
So the front brakes are pressurized by the solenoid, therefore the computer doesn't sense the brakes are being used because your foot is off the brake pedal.
That's my theory anyway.
Eric, you need a double flaring tool, that's the only special tool.
I cut into the front brake line, flared and connected the solenoid and that's it, of course except for the wiring.
The switch on both my cars is mounted to the shifter on the outside of the boot, it's held on with zip ties, not pretty, but functional. Some guys just leave some extra length of wire and keep the switch in the ashtray till they want to use it.
Mr Mojo, I also have a Hurst LL to install. Can you help me with what the two side ports are for if I am not using the brake light control? Do I just plug up the side holes?
Yeah, I bought the Hurst installation kit, it comes with a bunch of plugs and fittings and brake lines.
