I'm building a 87 wrangler from the ground up, It's a Heinz 57 build of sorts.
What does the BCM control in a 96 vette? When I have VATS programed out of the PCM, do I still need to worry about the key code?
Will I even need the BCM?
With that sort of a power train your gonna want to
Know how fast your going. The BCM controls the DIC and the start enable relay ground. The starter relay shouldn't be an issue but if you want to see the DIC light up I think the BCM will need to be wired up. If you want to use the BCM will also handle security, interior lighting and radio (i think) on a delayed bus. The chimes are another but if you can wire this up ---I doubt you leave your keys in the car.
