I made my first fix today! the clutch was releasing very little. Did a little reading today on the forum and checked the clutch master and it was almost out. I added a little DOT3 and its all good. I will be checking it over the next few days to see if it gets low again ,indicating a leaky slave cylinder. I'm hoping for the best. Ive never seen a gasket that fills the reservoir before it takes up almost all the room in the reservoir. It took very little to fill it.

That gasket is like a diaphram which you can collapse or fold up when you have the cap off, which will allow you to add more fluid. Then it's designed to expand to take up space as the fluid level declines. You don't want air in there because of the moisture.

My experience with these gaskets is with brake master cylinders and I know what you mean about collapsing them .This didn't want to collapse and was kinda thick
