weatherstrip help...Jon?
I am about to change the two side pieces from the top on my 94 coupe. I see there is one screw one one side but not the other end. Are there two screws holding the piece in ? Also, the old strip that is in now seems to have a metal strip within it. The new strip does not. Is it as easy as taking out the screw and ripping the old piece off? I tseems there is a channel that it slides into. Does anyone have any pics of the job ? It would help to actually see how this piece fits in.

Yeah, there are at least 2 screws imbedded in the original weatherstrip. I think I remember one end having 2, with a single screw on the other for a total of three. There is a stay of some sort in the old weatherstip but don't worry if the new does not have it. You will find there is a ton of black adhesive holding the old weatherstrip in place and you want to scrape as much as you can loose. Work the new weatherstip into the channels on your top. then set the screws. Don't put adhesive in with the new weatherstip - it will be very full and may need to be repositioned once the top is fitted. Work it toward the front/back as needed to make the window seal and you are done. You really don't need the adhesive and will be glad you didn't use it unless you luck up and fit it perfectly first try.
