Question on fan temp reprogramming.
I called one local shop and asked if they could reprogram my fan temps. They said no and suggested that i buy the hyper tech power programmer. I don't want to pay $300+ for a one time thing. I was hoping that the shop could do it for around $100, btw I have already put in the 160 stat. any ideas?

Get a low temp fan switch kit from Ecklers. I have it and I just got done installing a 160 stat. My temp gauge stays about 1/4 inch off of 100 degree mark. Sitting in traffic when the temp starts to rise, both fans will kick on for about 1 minute and then go off. The temp stays very stable and the 160 stat will keep your fans from running all the time if you use the fan switch. By the way, I havn't reprogrammed the chip at all and it works perfectly. :cheers:

Yes they will work on a 94. Ecklers Spring/Summer catalog pg.163. Use the 185 degree switch, for $39.99. The harness you need is also listed, it's $12.99.

how does this harness tie in to the fan relay. i am using a thermostatic fan relay now (bypassing the secondary fan relay) and it runs all the time (key on or off) and it could run my battery down.
