Default Removed ac, now the blower doesnt work

90 l98 electronic temp control.

I removed my ac system and now the blower motor doesnt work for the heat. The buttons flash on the temp control unit. I tried splicing the dk blue and light green ac pressure wire together in an attempt to trick the ccm into thinking that ac pressure is good with no luck.

What do you guys think, should i just run a manual switch and froget about it?

Over the evolution of my car I had the A/C removed, kept the C68, and the blower/everything else still worked. IIRC there is an inline fuse by the blower, make sure that's still there. Maybe it was deleted on accident.

The A/C switch needs to be together yes, otherwise the front fan runs all the time.

After awhile I removed more weight, sold the C68, and just use a manual fan switch for the blower now.

Will the blower motor turn on when the car is not running but the ignition on?

Did the same on mine (C68 ) and still have full control of the blower from the stock panel
Blower works independent of A/c ( assuming you left the blower control module in place)

Thanks again for the replies guys.
A wire on my outside ambient air temp sensor was cut. It must have happened when I put in my new radiator. I knew I felt a little resistance when putting the housing back in .
No more flashing lights on the c68. I am still unable to test the blower motor. The helms states that the coolant temp must reach a certain temp prior to the blower motor turning on. I will have to wait until I start the car to test the blower motor. I was going to pull the temp sensor and place it in some hot water but I will wait. Thanks again for your help guys.

Rodj thanks for the reply. I tested the motor direct to the battery and it does work. I tested the red wire going into the evaporated box and it only has 5.7 volts of power. Any ideas why the volts would be so low?

Just checked my manual. The C68 is the Electronic A/C Control panel in the dash.

That was the heavy red on the 2 pin plug? Should have 12V full time even with key off.
Is a direct feed from battery ( from terminal block behind batt ) maybe bad wire or fusible link?
