Default Steering not quite right

I've recently noticed a very minor, but very annoying movement in the steering column. It is only detectible when cornering at high speeds an encountering bumpy conditions (which happens a lot in and around Houston).

What I've noticed is that in these conditions (high speed, cornering, hit a bump, gripping the wheel tightly), the steering wheel seems to move up or down, seeming to flex at the point where the tilt setting occurs. No real loss of control or wavering from track.

Any ideas would be welcome.

There are 3 bolts inside the column that come loose after time.

Yep..and it's pretty common for them to loosten up, so you should loctite them when you fix it.

Thanks for the advice. Where do I look? Are the bolts inside, under, ?
I've got a GM shop manual, but couldn't spot the 3 bolts you mentioned in all the detail they show. :smash:
