Guys,
I've heard that one of the best mods you can make to a 6spd car is to swap in a set of gears. What is the stock ratio? What does everyone swap to? I've heard 4.09 and 4.10 knocked around. What kind of RPMS at say 70mph in 6th do you see after the gear swap? Any impact on gas mileage? Gear whine? Thanks.

4.10 gears would make a difference for sure, make sure you use a set of "Dana" brand gears for best results. As far as RPM Im pretty sure with the 4.10's you will be around 2000rpm at 70MPH

the stock ratio was 3.45 for M6's with 3.54 as an option in some years
4.10s are the best mod for a M6, you dont have to worry too much about mileage loss or overreving in 6th
