Clay-test question.
I'm thinking I'm going to do a clay test here in couple hours or so even though I already tourqed the heads down, DOH! I don't think there will be any problems, but I just spent a load on new AFR's so I REALLY don't want the valves to fire up into the intake.
This is my question:
How much piston to valve clearance must I have? Or does it just need to not touch?

Better safe than sorry. Comp cams recommends .100" for intakes and .125" for the exhaust. They also say to replace a hydraulic lifter with a solid, while checking, to avoid the error you will get from the hydraulic lifter collapsing, during the checking process. Good luck.
