Programming another use for the CAGS!
I read a little while back about a process of using the CAGS device to become a low gear lock-out when drag racing instead of a skip shift. As such when you are racing the CAGS reprogram will allow you to shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd and so on but when your rev's are too high you are locked out of down shifting from 4th to 3rd, or 3rd to 2nd.
This process prevents you from downshifting while too high in the revs or accidentally getting into the wrong gear (i.e. 3rd to 4th you hit 2nd). And can save you from blowing out your transmission or motor.
If there is interest I will find the settings that need to be changed but it requires changing the minimum and maximum speeds of CAGS engagement. This will depend on your gearing also.
